No, this isn't a post about Earth Day, although it should be. It is more about how I dropped of the face of the Earth for the past ten days. Or, rather, how I was living my life and not so much hanging around here.
It's about how the universe teased me with an assistant for 3 whole days until she realized that she makes more than my personal salary waiting tables.
It's about how she left in the middle of a project and my library floor, instead of its shelves, is covered with books.
It's about how I volunteered to do snacks AND a dessert for Teacher Appreciation at Brother's school.
It's also about how the principal scared the bejeezus out of me and all the other parents at the PTO with her whole "We don't have an open door policy. Our door is CLOSED!" speech at the PTO last night.
Additionally, it's about how I am making an entire alphabet out of paper to be laminated for Jelly Bean's classroom, because I am tired of the bare, bare walls and the lack of learning going on there.
It's about how at last week's dance class, I wanted to smack these dumb little girls who wanted to talk about recent movies they saw with the instructor rather than DANCE. I didn't pay to listen to chit chat ladies. Shut up and move your hips, dammit. Or get out.
It's about how I finally bellied up and asked my cousin's fiance' if I could crash on their sofa when I go Up North to see my little sister graduate from high school. They said yes. I was scared they wouldn't. Not because of them, but because of me. I hate asking for stuff.
It's about how our bitsy little pool is freezing cold, but the kids still want to get in every day.
It's also about how my bunnies love me...and no one else. And how if Simon was a dog and bit Brother, I would shoot him myself. (Ok, not really.) But since he is a cute little furry bunny... I won't. Hmm. This seems wrong on some level, but I just can't put my finger on it. Other than I just don't like dogs.
It's also about how we are taking a smashing Disney Vacation and I have made the reservations. Whee!
Finally, it's about nothing at all. The end.

On first read, I thought you wrote "I am making an elephant out of paper" and I thought that was weird. Now I understand. :)
Sounds like a busy 10 days. Whats up with the CLOSED DOOR policy. Seems strange. Is it a security thing?
We leave for Disney on Tuesday, the kids are so excited! :)

I'm trying to plan a Disney Vaca too but I am not sure where to stay. Are you staying at Disney?
